What works

Core features, like:

• connecting to nodes,
• file downloads/uploads,
• queries,
  
• message boards upload/downloads

What does not

Some parts of the GUI don't work properly:

• When you minimize the main window, it should go to the systray, and dissapear from the taskbar. It indeed goes to the systray, but the button stays in the taskbar! And, if you click it, only the window frame is restored. For properly restore the app, click the systray icon.
• This app requires Japanese fonts, but even if you specify a custom font (by editing visual.txt on "mutagen" folder), some parts of the UI are still unreadable. The workaround is to run PD with "LANG=ja_JA.utf8 wine perfect\ dark.exe".
• This app also uses an embedded IE box (for the "View" tab), where you can browse message boards and retrieve info about downloads. While Gecko works almost fine there (save for some CSS rendering issues), some boards/files CANNOT be viewed! (clicking them on View tab just redirects to a default "perfect dark zepto server is online" page. Even worse, by right-clicking an item->View (External browser) calls the external browser... with a BLANK URL!. In short, this feature is almost useless under Wine
• Running with "LANG=ja_JA" instead of "ja_JA.utf8" ends in a segfault.

Additional Comments

- For japanase fonts, you should use "MS PGothic" from a Windows box (copy msgothic.ttc to your ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts/msgothic.ttc and edit "visual.txt" on mutagen folder). Arial Unicode MS (arialuni.ttf) also works nicely, but can be blurry on some systems. If you want to go "free", use Sazanami Gothic, it works fine (but if you use a Spanish/French translation, you will miss characters with accents and other characters, like "�")

For best results, you should use "MS PGothic" from a Windows box: copy msgothic.ttc to your ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/fonts/msgothic.ttc and edit "visual.txt" on mutagen folder; you will need to generate a new mutagen first (Settings->Customize->Write mutagen), and on "visual.txt", set "eye font" and "default font". Arial Unicode MS (arialuni.ttf) also works nicely, but can be too blurry on some systems. (REMEMBER: all TXT files generated by PD are UTF-16, so be careful!)

If you want to go "free", use Sazanami Gothic, it works fine (but if you use a Spanish/French translation, you will miss characters with accents and other characters, like "ñ")
