Download and place mfc42.dll in the game folder In order to get multiplayer working I had to 1 - Disable ipv6 It's seems the game doesn't work properly with ipv6 (even on windows); so I had to disable ipv6. 2 - use winetricks: ./winetricks directplay (And also based one the instructions here: http://wiki.winehq.org/DirectPlayGames) regsvr32 dplayx.dll ; regsvr32 dpnet.dll ; regsvr32 dpnhpast.dll

1. Download the native mfc42.dll and place it in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/
2. Install it using the command
(Make sure that you properly described your cd-rom letter in the winecfg---> drives button)
2b. If you have for e.g. 4CD version and have problems with installation process (installer don't recognizes second cd in the drive) try to copy all 4 CD into one folder and then install. It installs but there can be some errors with game's working.
Another way is to make CD images and then push the install button.
3. Open up your terminal and use the command
and type in Dunegon Siege 2 game folder
and you are ready to play.
