Selected Test Results (selected in 'Test Results' table below)
For the GOG release of RCT2-TTP, as of Wine 1.9.12, the game actually boots and runs on its own (although a virtual desktop is basically required).
The gameplay has no missing features and is fully functional. All gameplay and sound work right out of the box.
Even the save and load menus, which bring up a separate explorer process, are fully functional.
What does not
The game does not play nicely with displays - all errors I have found relate to video.
1. Does not run nicely (most times with no video output) without a virtual desktop. With the xfce4 window manager, it messes up the display settings. In an Enlightenment session, it does not boot unless in a virtual desktop, and without one it always bring up the same error as below.
2. Occasional crashes with error:
"Exception Raised - Access Violation
Error Location: WIndows Display Driver"
Appears to occur first time when changing resolution. On one Arch system, it appears to occur at random, and on the other it only occured at the resolution change and when attempting to run outside a virtual desktop.
What was not tested
Other window managers outside of an xfce4 session and an Enlightenment session.
Long-term gameplay testing. All testing was conducted short-term.
Runs on its own, but requires a virtual desktop to run well.
