GRIP (Generic Role-playing for Internet Players)

What works

Installs, updates, and some of the applications run. I'm having difficulty loading a character sheet into iPC, but it's other functions seem to be running well. I have yet to test the chat functions since the application won't connect to a server without a character sheet loaded (a flaw under windows as well).

The game scheduler runs well.

What does not

iGM seems to be having problems loading some of its class libraries: but I haven't run the debugger yet to find and end-run the dependencies. The module currently crashes after the first two screens.

GRiPnet, the iRC client (used only to set up games) crashes shortly after connecting to a server.

Workarounds

What was not tested

iPC connection to an iGM server, either locally or past the router. This will happen over the next few days.

I have a box image for this RPG tool and will continue testing under WINE since I use it regularly (under VMware) for internet gaming.
