1.x demo of this funny program.
All in all the sheep has about 30 different animations. To bring up a box that allows you to choose which animation to see press ctrl + shift + double click.
Just double clicking on the sheep brings up an option box to turn on/off sounds, sleeping and to remove the sheep from the desktop.
This version seems to work fine through WINE.

What works
Sheep appear and do their sheepy thing.
ctrl+shift+double click brings up the debug menu and they perform the actions you request.
What more does the program do?
Multiple sheep work, however the flickering problem (mentioned below) is amplified.
What does not
The sheep was very flickery for me, but settled down eventually and was watchable. This becomes unbearable and unusable after 10 or more sheep.
When you have multiple sheep the debug menu will still appear, however the action you select will not happen.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I'm not sure if I missed anything.

Additional Comments
I'm not sure if this makes a difference but I am also using KDE 3.5
