My graphics card: Intel GMA X3100 - reported as Mobile Intel 965 The game picked OpenGL and the lowest settings by itself seeing my card. One of the settings, texture compression led to wrong hair colour and some weird textures. Disabling it fixes the problem and the game works flawlessly. So go to game options - choose Custom and make sure Texture compression is NOT enabled. Also, I used the standalone launcher: http://download.piratesonline.com/english/currentVersion/PotC-setup.exe
