Gameplay (so far)
Windowed mode worked for me
Everything except videos I believe
What does not
Videos do not play as expected; winegstreamer could only play the intro for about 30 seconds before crashing at the same spot, and it only plays half of the screen for me.
Game also needs another work around if the solution to working around the videos is used as x fails to create the window after the logo and never gets to the intro.
What was not tested
Only about an hour into the game I just looked to fix the video issue so there may be other issues for others. I encourage anyone to test; I'll edit this test once I play this game full on wine later this year.
For this game, I had to disable winegstreamer as it only partly played the intro (and half of the screen was showing). I had to use an mpeg decoder and I went with the one that worked for me which was LAVFilter. ffdshow I had no luck with it only showed a debugger and a black screen with it. Then I enabled quartz with winetricks and got the video running ideally, but X was throwing issues that submitter Jhackler commented about in his last post. It could not go from the logo to the intro for me and it crashed after the logo. As a work around, I enabled the gtk3 theming option in wine staging, and it magically ran the whole intro (not half of the screen white) this time around.
