What works
- Installation from DVD.
- Starting the game with DLL-overrides d3dx9_27.dll, d3dx9_36.dll and dxdiagn.dll, NOCD-Exe to work around the StarForce' copy-protection and emulation of a virtual desktop to avoid some massive graphics glitch.
- Single-player (Training, Campaign, Lone Wolf, etc) with decent performance.
- Saving audio-, video-, etc-options.
- Creating a LAN-server with map-cycle
- Connecting to Ubi.com for playing on the Internet
What does not
- Loading and saving game-states (quick-save, auto-save and more) if the path to the application is too long (WINE seems to have trouble with this), e.g. C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Red Storm Entertainment\Rainbow Six Lockdown. Such a long pathname does not give you the chance to save any games. Use something like "C:\Program Files\RB6 Lockdown" instead.
- Retreiving a list of internet-games (PunkBuster related?)
Workarounds
What was not tested
- Use of Modificiations through the Mod-menu.
- Playing on the Internet

Additional Comments
Despite lots of unhandled page faults on startup, this game did run pretty well for me. If you suffer from various graphics artifacts, try to set 'Reflection Detail' in the Video-options to 'none'. I suspect this to be a stencil/stencil-reflection problem with WineD3D.
