The mouse is skimmy, but there is a way around:
start the game then -> ALT-v (view)
select ¨advanced options¨ it will show small screen
-> (window) select 800x600
Set your ubuntu system on 800X600 and it´s playable :)
What does not
What was not tested
full game untill the end..
Some games may exit in ubuntu i found out when there is an ¨unknown screen size¨, toggling the resolution
may help run them :)
-this is besides this game-

Using winecfg set your Windows Version to Windows 98.
You need to install the game as normal. Patch the game to 1.1 . Then use a nocd patch to remove cdchecks as so far, the game will throw a General Protection Fault if the game trys to run without using a nocd patch. There is a bug for this. The actual cd check works as you can play multiplayer just fine. The nocd patch stops the game from trying to play the movies which crash wine.
*as of RC2 the game works in opengl mode! Feel free to play the the advanced graphics settings.
*I would recommend having wine emulate a desktopsize and not use your whole monitor. On my setup khg got very confused when it went into fullscreen mode. I've had trouble with the curtain blacking out the screen.
**note, I haven't tried very hard to get the standard 1.0 version working as the nocd patch I found didn't work for 1.0
