What works

installs OK, using the how-to from http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=11030&iTestingId=21535

What does not

The application will not start under wine, as of beta 11. Beta 10 still works for me as did all other beta that I tested.

When I start the app I get a dialog box that says:

For security purposes, this program will not run while system debuggers are active. Please remove or disable the system debugger before trying to run this program again.

The command line messages are:

$ wine PokerTracker.exe
fixme:process:SetProcessShutdownParameters (00000100, 00000001): partial stub.
fixme:reg:RegSetKeySecurity :(0x7c,4,0x399f58): stub

I have communicated with the lead developer who informs me that beta 11 was the first version that had the copy protection software installed. That software is "Software Passport." which apparently also uses the name Amadillo.

HOWTO HUD
See this link to get the HUD working with PT3 http://www.liquidpoker.net/poker-forum/825616/Linux_PT3_HUD.html
Splash Screen locks application
PokerTracker3 will not start until the splash screen has been minimised. on KDE I right click the titlebar or any other window -> Advanced -> Special Window Settings click Window tab click Detect Window Properties button and select the splashscreen then go to Geometry tab and select the Minimised checkbox and click Force. Now PT3 should work fine from now on If you don't use KDE I think you can use wmctrl command line utility instead.
