What works

Installs without much trouble, but you may need to use Wine's desktop mode during the install.  See extra comments for regedit details if you're having trouble getting it to install.

Serial communications test works, as does offloading and launching loggers.  To use COM1 or another serial port, you may need to create it per the Wine guide:

Simply put, you go to ~/.wine/dosdevices and run something like: 

ln -s /dev/ttyS0 com1

Reads data off H01 and H08 series HOBO loggers perfectly, and displays the data graphs without any problem.  It also launches these loggers, including multiple launch.

Exporting data to text and XLS files works perfectly, as does importing/inserting existing data files.  Printing and print preview work without any problems.

 Open/export/delete entries from readout log works.  Exporting launches Wine's Notepad correctly.

What does not

I found no problems during testing.

Optic shuttles, HandCar data shuttles, Hobo Pro archives, H07-series event loggers (none on hand).

Lotus 123 file export.

I did not install or test the help file system, as Onset indicated known issues with it.

To install, you may need to add a couple of empty registry keys with wine regedit: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Onset Computer Corporation] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Onset Computer Corporation\BoxCar Pro] Also, make sure you're installing from a directory wine can read directly and that you've set up the ~/.wine/dosdevices link for com1 or whatever com port you're using.
