Arcade mode (including the "cutscenes" in between matches), survival mode, and practice mode all work nearly perfect outside of the relatively minor bugs listed in "What does not work."
What does not
"Round 1", "Fight", "Perfect!", etc messages that appear full screen at the beginning and end of the fight do not appear, but this is a minor problem at best.
Overlaid animations for some EX moves do not show, but once again this doesn't really affect gameplay.
If not using desktop emulation within wine and the game is played fullscreen the resolution of X will not be reset to pre-game values. A simple fix for this is writing a shell script that cd's to the directory, launches the game via wine, and after the game exits, runs xrandr -s XresxYres (ex xrandr -s 1280x1024).
What was not tested
Outside of 3rd party netplay most things were tested it seems.
If you get lines through your sprites (namely the characters themselves) try toggling anti-aliasing on/off by hitting F12.
