What works

Installing and starting game like it is discribed (adding of the dll files); Playing with a controller; Playing long time (not main missions, just for fun)

What does not

Grafik in second level of the game is very deficient. Sometimes there are polygon errors in persons; Sometimes the game crahes or freeze without warning;Especially in main missions (Akkon etc.) by city alert; It was for 6 or more times not possible to complete the mission because game crashes by trying to go back to base. (One problem here is that the game only has saveing points and if it crash you have to try the hole mission again)

HowTo / Notes

Performance tweaks

1.) You can improve game performance with this registry settings:

[Software\\Wine\\Direct3D]
"DirectDrawRenderer"="opengl"
"VideoMemorySize"="896"

Set VideoMemorySize to correct amount of RAM for your graphics card.

2.)Run the game with WINEDEBUG=-all command (note: if you want to submit bug and post error logs, make sure you are NOT using this command)

3.)Make sure you have latest official drivers installed for you graphics card.

HOWTO

The game can be installed and patched. To make the game start up with wine you need to add d3dx9_36.dll to .wine/system32

There is easy way to fix the mouse problem, just add this registry key:

[Software\\Wine\\DirectInput]
"MouseWarpOverride"="force"

You will have to use keyboard in menu with this settings, but in game mouse is working without any bugs.
