What works

MSI installer and the installed POI loader program. Detects my Garmin NUVI and it's SD card perfectly. Installs POI's flawlessly.

What does not

The WinZip installer, or the extracted Setup.exe

Additional Comments

The POILoader comes in a WinZip self extracting installer. When it extracts it runs the "install screen", which is basically just a splash screen with an Install button. This part doesn't work (it hangs). When you would click on the Install button, the MSI installer would be run. So to get it to install, all you need to do is extract the WinZip exe, and run the MSI installer. For instance, from the command prompt, run: unzip POILoaderforWindows_242.exe This will extract a bunch of files, specifically MAIN.msi Now run: wine msiexec /i MAIN.msi Nothing will appear to happen (no windows will be opened, no messages will be displayed). But your POI loader is now successfully installed. The same goes for version 2.5.3, except, in 2.5.3 the MSI file's name is POI_MAIN.msi.
