runs and looks just like on windows;
low mem usage
low cpu usage
fast and light.
What does not
A tip to run all the config files in the same dir as the .exe:
create a dir called uTorrent in home dir,
place the .exe in that dir and run the .exe once,
locate the config files in ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/YOURNAME/Application Data/utorrent,
cut all the config files,
paste into the ~/uTorrent dir you created with the .exe,
now run the .exe as normal from the uTorrent dir, all the config files will save into the same dir, without touching the .wine dir.
# cd ~/uTorrent && xterm -e "wine utorrent.exe"
What was not tested
only probelm is the black background, which is fixed by running the .exe with XP instead of 2K.

If/When you get this error:
It seems like uTorrent is already running, but not responding. Please close all uTorrent processes and try again.
you could simply kill all the utorrent processes with:
killall -9 uTorrent.exe
Then just open utorrent, not the installer.
You can also open µtorrent with '/NOINSTALL' parameter but then you can't change any settings (if I understood right). E.g.:
C:\Program Files\uTorrent\uTorrent.exe" /NOINSTALL
It seems that with the new version of Wine Web UI is supported and the RSS features where tested. This is great news as that elevates utorrent to Platinum status on AppDB. Of course more test results are always welcome as it got platinum on 64 bit ubuntu only so far. See Aaron Poley's 64bit 7.10 submission at:
