What works

Installing the game, running it (without using any NOCD patch) after disabling some options.

What does not

Sound: if enabled, it slowdowns the application to the point to hang the entire system. turning it off makes possible to the game.

Any of these options under "render settings":

• Mipmapping
  

• Use PAL8 textures

Enabling both of them makes the game crash just before starting the race.

Additional Comments

If started with the WINEDEBUG=+trace it starts printing out fixme:d3d_draw:drawPrimitive Using software emulation because manual fog coordinates are provided until the application quits (see the bug for more details)
