  • Starting the app via 'wine OpenOfficePortable.exe'
  • Open/Save of odt/ods/doc/xls

    • switch between paragraph styles
    • insert tables

    • add/delete columns and rows
    • enter functions

    There is a native version of OpenOffice.org for Linux/FreeBSD etc. of course. But to be ready for ODF in an environment where install of OOo is a no-op (say: at work/university), installing via Wine is a good thing. And the app installed via Wine works even when run under commercial Wine equivalents, so OpenOffice.org Portable can be used really portably.
