Additional Comments

The only reason for the Gold instead of the Platinum was the missing dll which is easily fixed by following the instructions listed under the Fedora 8 test results. It was not really needed, however, in order to give the game more memory I added the -heapsize option to my programs shortcut link. Mine looks like this: env WINEPREFIX="/home/chris/.wine" wine "C:\Program Files\The Lost Crown\TheLostCrown_Splash.exe" -heapsize 512000 NOTE: It ran fine without -heapsize being specified, I just have plenty of extra ram and allocated some more to the game. The 512000 allocates 512MB to the game instead of Wines default of 64MB. Also after the game is installed it asks if you want DirectX installed. I chose [NO]. No need for it in Wine.

HowTo / Notes

The installation of the game works w/o problems, but you have to skip the installation of DirectX 9. After the installation has been finished you need to copy the file d3dx9_36.dll
