Essentially everything works in Fantasy Wars.
Able to create user profile, start new campaign mode, save & restore games. Tutorial mode works, able to complete missions in-game, game hotkeys work, etc.
No issues encountered updating & tweak sound settings and graphical display options while game is running in Wine.
What does not
The following issue encountered under both Wine-Stable and Wine-Staging.
Game unable to generate land and water textures in mission. "DirectX Shaders failing to compile correctly" messages appearin upper-left corner of display screen when starting Fantasy Wars and when loading a new mission map/restoring a saved game.
Fantasy Wars has a "display Hex Grid" toggle button, so game is still playable but a little harder since you can't see what terrain units are passing through.
Manually running "winetricks d3dx9" at the command line allows the game to successfully display land and water textures in gameplay mode and removes the "DirectX Shaders failing to compile correctly" error messages in-game.
What was not tested
