To get it to work under Steam, it is necessary to find the game folder (usually at /.local/share/wineprefixes/steam/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Steam/SteamApps/common inside your /home) and tweak the "dosbox.conf" file in two different lines:
Once that is done, the game will work, but with some buggy sound. Although I couldn't get that to work perfectly, there is a way to make the annoying hissing stop, and that is through the manual configuration of the sound card. To do that, enter "dosbox.conf" again and replace
Now execute using the normal Steam shortcut and this will take you to Setup. Once there, select "Soundblaster 16" for a soundcard, then Base Port to "220", IRQ to "7", DMA to "1", and the sound channels to "8". Afterwords, select "General Midi".
Go back to the "dosbox.conf" file and switch back to "terror.bat" again, so that Steam will run the game.
The game will work, albeit with missing soundtrack. (Not that there's much of one)
What does not
The game with stardard Steam configurations.
What was not tested
More intense, multi-level battles.
Surely, there's a bit of a hassle there to get in working, but it is worth it. If someone could tweak mouse sensivity and screen roll speed, that would be really a boon.
