What works
So Far Everything seems to work. I used a backup copy with the nocd patch (I DO own the CD FYI, Just scratched it badly)
FPS is quite good
What does not
Sound is not the greatest, But I am running to an external Pro Audio firewire interface via jack and qjackctrl
Video will not go above 800x600 on my system, I am assuming that this has to do with X and my nVidia driver setting though.
Workarounds
What was not tested
I copied a saved game from my M$ install of the game, it loaded okay, have not tried saving yet.
Hardware tested

FullscreenViewportY=xxxx
Change them to set your resolution.
Now open user.ini. Find these lines:
DesiredFOV=90
DefaultFOV=90
Change the values to set your FOV to your preference. I recommend 100 for 16:10 displays, and 106 for 16:9 displays.
