7.0 is a version which does work well on windows 98 and XP.
It exists for linux, but sometimes it is easier to configure a .wine dir for use serial and parallel ports than configuring the linux version.

It is kind of wear. Older versions are marked as platinum, but this doesnt even installs. This version is used on my Uni because it works on windows 98 and XP. Newer versions will only work on XP.
