Playing the game, choosing characters, using disciplines... I haven't yet completed the game so I can't say everything.
What does not
Bonus patch 7.6b (see additional information)
What was not tested
Completing the game
The game works out of the box, installed by steam, but most of you will probably want to get the community 7.6b patch (latests as of the moment of writing) because the game as released by Troika is very VERY buggy. When I installed the 7.6b patch, I run into the following problem: Whenever I hit "Start a new game" the game would crash. Investigating and talking to the patch creator on steam forums http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24171071&posted=1#post24171071 I was suggested to install the patch into a separate directory and try copying dlls one by one to find the culprit. So the culprit for the crashes was the vampire.dll provided by the patch, so in order to play with the 7.6b patch do the following: Install the 7.6b patch into some temporary directory. Copy all the files to the vtmb install directory, BUT don't overwrite the Vampire/dlls/vampire.dll file. Keep the original vampire.dll provided by steam and you would be able to play the game.

While the unofficial patch 9.4 works perfectly well on Linux, the launcher that is created by the setup is broken.
Find the "VTM Bloodlines Unofficial Patch.desktop" file on your desktop, open it up with a text file and change the line:
You can also apply the latter one in the Steam startup options to track your playing time with the unofficial patch.
To force antialiasing in the game, run this in a terminal:
wine /path/to/your/Vampire.exe -game Unofficial_Patch
