Versions 00 through 09
Navigating the Internet, including secure sites, Flash player, installing add-ons (I tested Ad-Block Plus), filling out web forms (I am writing this report from Firefox 3 in Wine), tabs, the search box, downloading stuff.
What does not
Java applets will load (this is using JRE 6u6), but when they do, the rest of the window will stop getting painted and it will just turn black. Also, the program can't display colons. They show up as a box with the Unicode code point inside.
What was not tested
All add-ons other than Ad-Block Plus, adding new search engines (the pop up boxes are too small. You can't see the "yes" button), new themes.
Most of the problems (i.e. the colon not showing up and the dialog boxes being too small) are probably general Wine issues and not specific to Firefox. Overall, Firefox runs really well under Wine.

After a little more testing, Firefox 3 seemed to show that it will run equally as stable in Windows Vista mode as it will in Windows 2000 mode. If you want the effects that comes from the Vista version of Firefox 3 (button colors change, GUI changes slightly), then put it in Vista mode.
If you are using Compiz-Fusion on your linux installation and wish to use Firefox, you need to disable it or Firefox will refuse to minimize or allow other windows to be on top of it without manually setting Firefox to sit behind all windows. It doesn't always seem to work, but the problem seems less frequent this way.
