The program works great right out of the box. I haven't had any Wine related errors when trying to use it.
What does not
Ticket closing sometimes causes the program to crash, but this isn't the fault of Wine as I have experienced it in Windows too.
What was not tested
Any advanced operations. Normal technician operation works fine, though.
While in Ubuntu, mapping network drives via the native system (just connecting to the server) isn't good enough for Wine to connect to the codebase. I've been using smb4k to mount the helptrac dbase to a location and then setting it as a virtual drive in Wine. This seems to work pretty well other than having to first log in to the server and then to helptrac when you want to use it.
