What works
It worked for me once.
What does not
Usually, when I run it, the pre-game window appears (asking you if you want to purchase the game). Clicking on "Play Game" brings up the main game window.
Sometimes the window stays black, though the sound works. Sometimes the initial animation shows up for a while, but then crashes after several seconds, which freezes up my system. Crashes more often when I configure Wine to create a fake Windows desktop and put all the windows in there.
Once it worked flawlessly. When it did work, the main game window just forced itself in the middle of the screen without any of my window manager decorations (or Windows' window manager decorations). Since then, I can't reproduce this success (every time I launch it, either my window manager decorations or Windows' window manager decorations appear).
When it worked, it seemed like the stage timer (top right corner) was counting down too quickly. The airplane speeds and animations seemed to run at normal speed, though.
