Drakan: Order of the Flame

What works

• Installation.
• Playing the game.
• Sounds.
• Logo-movies.
• In-game movies.

What does not

• Installation.
• Running the game.
• The settings `resolution' and `color depth' do not get saved.
• Anti-aliasing cannot be changed. (Bug #34625).
• When Wine is run in full-screen mode, the game auto-minimizes when workspace is switched. (Bug #37937).
• Music.

Workarounds

• The installer crashing can be prevented by setting access to region 0:

# sysctl -w vm.mmap_min_addr=0

• Disabling sound (from the configuration window which appears when the game is first run) prevents the game from crashing.
• Dropping `quartz.dll'  in the game directory and setting it to `n(ative)'  prevents the game from crashing. Also, the sounds work!
• To prevent the game from auto-minimizing, run it in Wine's virtual-desktop mode.

Combining the above fixes, the application can be run from the CLI, as follows:

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="$WINEDLLOVERRIDES;quartz=n" $WINE explorer /desktop=,800x600 Drakan.exe
