What does not
Pop-up and floating windows did not behave as they would on a real Windows installation but otherwise everything I tried worked as expected.
What was not tested
I only installed Dreamweaver; I did not install Fireworks (the graphical editing package). Also I didn't use many of the WYSIWYG editing features.
My Wine has been told to pretend to be Windows2000. Essentially I was able to install Dreamweaver 3 and then use it to update two or three real websites. Most of the problems that I experienced seemed to be related to window management: floating windows would disappear instead of remaining on top, and popups would sometimes not popup or down as expected. On the first run of Dreamweaver an invisible window was put onto the desktop. The window is noted on the task bar but can never be seen. Since this window is invisible I cannot tell you what it contains. After several minutes the window went away and the usual Dreamweaver windows appeared as expected. On subsequent runs the invisible window was not presented. When Dreamweaver starts, an error message is shown briefly. It vanishes too quickly for me to have been able to capture its contents but I believe I have seen the same error message when using Dreamweaver on a real Windows platform.
