Selected Test Results

What works

  • Installation;
    • Installation software crashes on exit, but everything installs correctly;
  • The IDE;
    • Somes error on launch [see extra comments], software works correctly thereafter;
  • Compiling with MPLAB ASM Suite (Default compiler)
  • MPLAB Sim (Simulation)
    • In some simulation windows (notably "watch"), the default style makes it impossible to read the text unless the window has focus. (When out of focus the text is white on a white background) [Maybe it's a local problem with my window manager, XFCE with Emerald and Compiz]

What does not

Nothing (besides the minor crashes previously explained).

HowTo / Notes

Note
The newest version is built on Netbeans (Java) so a Linux native version was released too. Now there's practically no reason to use these legacy versions in Wine. (Thanks, Microchip developers!)
