Installing using msiexec /i "d:\Defender of the Crown.msi" where d:\ is mapped to my cdrom mount in winecfg. I chose "typical install". Then I execute the .exe file in $HOME/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Cinemaware/DotC All gameplay and sound works.
What does not
There is no feedback during the file copy part of the installation, but it works still. The fonts were a bit too large in some cases, they don't always fit in the textboxes, but they were easily readable, though when choosing an extra quest at game startup, the last line in the textbox is missing.
What was not tested
Winning the game.
The game was a bit slower than on Windows.
