wineconsole --backend=user cmd.exe /c haloded.exe
What does not
It is a console application that requires X to run! It does not use standard input/output, but instead Win API calls that write to the console. It must therefor be launched in a windowed cmd.exe. It does not seem to work when cmd.exe is ran inside the console. Bleh!
What was not tested
Anything more advanced than loading a map and connecting to the server. Also: Halo CE.
The inability to run this using stdout/in prevents people from running this on a server that does not have X. It also complicates administration of the dedicated server.
