HowTo / Notes

HOWTO
If you have problems with a black, monotone or blank display of the game, without any lockup or crash, this is due to problems with the pixel shader implementation of Wine and the requirements of Culpa Innata. These problems do not occur for everyone.

If they do occur for you, the way I fixed it was to configure Wine with Pixel Shaders enabled, but with no support.

To do this using GUI follow these steps:

1: Open Wine Config, and select Add Application. Nagivate to your Culpa Innata install directory and select Game.exe (Culpa Innata's main executable), then press Open to add it.

2: With Game.exe highlighted in the Application list, go to the Graphics tab. This will ensure that these settings only affect Game.exe.

3: In the Direct3D section, change the "Vertex Shader Support:" selection to "None", but leave "Allow Pixel Shaders (if supported by hardware)" checked.

Please let me know if this procedure does not solve this problem for you, so that I can debug it further.
