What works

The entire game plays and functions with a couple notable exceptions.

What does not

The mouse loses control of the cursor during the Metro PDA incident early in the game. There seems to be a new performance hit that was not there in my earlier tests. I will investigate this further.

What was not tested

Nothing. Whole game plays through.

Additional Comments

The Metro PDA incident can be worked around, by using the confirmation dialogue box which pops up when you attempt to force the application closed, to move the game's cursor. In my attempts to do this, the game cursor moves in the opposite direction of actual mouse movement. You must click "cancel" in the dialogue box before you end the sequence in the game, or it will actually shut down as you requested.

HowTo / Notes

If you have problems with a black, monotone or blank display of the game, without any lockup or crash, this is due to problems with the pixel shader implementation of Wine and the requirements of Culpa Innata. These problems do not occur for everyone.

If they do occur for you, the way I fixed it was to configure Wine with Pixel Shaders enabled, but with no support.

To do this using GUI follow these steps:

1: Open Wine Config, and select Add Application. Nagivate to your Culpa Innata install directory and select Game.exe (Culpa Innata's main executable), then press Open to add it.

2: With Game.exe highlighted in the Application list, go to the Graphics tab. This will ensure that these settings only affect Game.exe.

3: In the Direct3D section, change the "Vertex Shader Support:" selection to "None", but leave "Allow Pixel Shaders (if supported by hardware)" checked.

Please let me know if this procedure does not solve this problem for you, so that I can debug it further.
