What works

Everything seems to work fine. The game is fully playable including cut scenes, render videos, audio and control.

What does not

Strange behavior running "fullscreen", but that's easy to fix and not annoying at all. If you do not configure the video settings before starting the game, the fullscreen starts with a lower resolution and the window sits in the left upper corner. You can move the window, but then the mouse cursor seems to get confused with the window borders (test it yourself, it's hard to explain). Leaving the window in the left upper corner works solves the problem with the mouse cursor.

If you however want to fix that to a REAL fullscreen you have to check the "use desktop resolution" (or similar) option in the video configuration. Then the screen will be centered and surrounded with black borders.

What was not tested

Haven't finished the game yet.

Don't know about DirectX. I think I added some dll's in winecfg a long time ago. I don't know if this affects the playability of this game.

Additional Comments

I give this a Platinum rating as the game works perfectly. The strange behavior is maybe not as intended by the developer using the specified video settings, but since you can change this in the menu, if you feel it's necessary, I don't consider this a problem at all. About DirectX: If there are additional dll's to add, the rating should be Gold.

HowTo / Notes

To run Secret Files Tunguska with wine:

1. Use the latest wine version.
2. Install the game via wine and patch the game to current version 1.03. You can find the patch for example at secret files.
3. Get the d3dx9_36.dll from dll-files and put it into the ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32 directory.
4. A noDVD check file is required, search for one, that replaces the original Tunguska.exe file for your language.

If you have a nvidia card you can enable antialiasing and anisotropic filtering via the nvidia-settings utility.

- The demo is not playable at the moment
