Sonic 3D Blast

What works

To play, you need to run pcsonic.exe from the CD, which will launch the game. Once you wait for the full motion video to end before the game shows the title screen. After that, the game and special stages run fine with the keyboard. You can exit the game by using the ALT+F4 combination.

The installer does run, but...

What does not

• ...the installer crashes with an error message, reading:
  
  Application Error:
  
  The instruction at 7ec49752 referenced memory at 65726964
  The memory cannot be read from
  
  at which point the installer closes.
• The full motion video does not work, you'll have to wait for the movie to end before the title screen appears.
  
• Could not get the joypad to control Sonic when the game did run.
• Trying to get the game to run from the hard disk gives an error message of "Piracy Check Failed" and as far as I can see, there isn't a no CD patch for the game, so it has to be run from the base directory of the CD.
