What works

Everything tested. - Multiplayer does require directplay to be installed. The easiest way is via winetricks, using the command "winetricks directplay". More details here: -

What does not

Fullscreen mode cuts off the bottom of the screen. Pressing Shift+F5 will allow you to play in a window. If it's crashing, try editing "C:\Windows\hegames.ini" and changing MainWindowStyle to 0. -

Sometimes the program hangs after quitting a game in multiplayer. Entering the command "wineserver -k" will kill it. - Moonbase Console works well with it too. Tested multiplayer using a virtual machine.

Old nvidia stuff was installed without being used, only started making problems after release upgrade. Removal fixed glx issues.

Tried to test older wine versions (getting a different error, maybe related to building), but at first glance this might be not a regression in wine, but instead in Ubuntu packaging(?).
