Cleaning up the Distorted Sound
Open Wine's Configuration dialog, by finding it in your distribution's programs menu, or by running� "winecfg" from the terminal.
Select the "Audio" tab, located near the top of the dialog box. It may take a while to display.
Near the bottom of the dialog, you will see a box labelled "DirectSound", in there select the checkbox labelled "Driver Emulation".
Click "Apply" to apply the changes.
