What works
The application lanches in Wine versions greater than 1.1.12 or so with native dotnet20 installed through winetricks. The menus work, preferences can be changed, and the autoupdater works, as well as being able to create lists as of Wine 1.1.19 or so.
What does not
Logging in to Wikipedia does not work, an error pops up saying that it can't find Internet Explorer. Wikipedia pages also cannot be loaded for editing. Quitting the application doesn't work, causing the application's bug interface to appear.

So far the only way to get AWB up and running is to install dotnet20 using winetricks. The following howto works for Ubuntu systems that can run the latest Wine builds. Type the following in a terminal (command line):
sudo aptitude install cabextract
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
sh winetricks dotnet20
then cd to your awb directory and run
wine AutoWikiBrowser.exe
