Instalation, main screen, options, changing resolution, play, networking. Very fast and smooth.
What does not
Sound - .
Fullscreen - after selecting fullscreen, and then pressing button for resolution, X resolution is changing, but aplication doesn't go fullscreen (it have window decorator, and whole desktop and panels are visible)
Wine menu in Gnome don't have proper shortcuts (only "Website" and "GGZ Gaming Zone" shortcuts are there, no "FreeCiv" or "uninstall"), so launching game isn't very easy. Also going to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Freeciv*/ by nautilus and clicking civclient.exe doesn't help, because it is executing with wrong working directory, like
~/$ wine LONG/PATH/civclient.exe
Only this works:
~/$ cd LONG/PATH
LONG/PATH$ wine ./civclient.exe
At the end of instalation setup is asking to launch FreeCiv after exiting. This is working.
What was not tested
Some dialogs. But they all should work.
Lack of shortcuts in Gnome->Wine->Programs menu should be checked. Also handling of fullscreen modes in SDL is worth checking.
