Basic operation seems to work (usage of menus and simple tools like the screen reader and creating plots) with the msxml3.dll workaround.
What does not
When comdlg is overridden, attempting to open windows freezes the program. Despite basic usage working with only msxml3 replaced, considerable stuttering and lag is present in loading menus (on the order of half a second to a full second) and in registering clicks on graphs.
Help windows do not load; clicking any of the help options has no result. (This has been present since before Wine 1.0.0.)
What was not tested
Advanced functionality such as curve fitting and other analysis.
In Wine 1.0.0, there was no issue with basic usage for Origin 8. However, as mentioned above, help options still did not work.
