HowTo / Notes

Note:

The game only installs with the Windows version set to Win95.

It will NOT run in fullscreen mode.

The startup is blocked because it freezes, when playing the movies, the only thing you have to do is appending a new line in the windows/UbiSoft/ubi.ini:
PlayIntroAtStart=0

This game is fun! ;)

The problems with the Fullscreen is a bug from the Game.
The first Version is not compatibly with Pentium 4 or AMD Duron.
On PIII Atom(AspireOne) IntelCore2 Duo CPU E6750 @ 2.66GHz run the game in Fullscrenmodus
16bit color problem
by JohnDoe on Friday October 17th 2008, 17:05
I just installed POD successfully. Problem is: it requires to run with 16-bit colors. Is there a way to force them in wine?

Not in wine itself. I edited my /etc/X11/xorg.conf and changed every depth there from 24 to 16.

After this it worked ;)

I use this solution with Xephyr wiki.winehq.org/256ColorsWorkarounds, but with 16 bits instead 8 bits, and PlayIntroAtStart=0 for the videos problem.

I have POD Gold, and PODMMX don't work, but works PODD3DX.exe with a low frame rate.
