Runs out of the box. The mouse is quite slow in the menus, but it's perfectly smooth in the game.

This is not due to Wine, but to the game itself. The only resolving way is to load the save after CD's change. A "patch" exists, that replace your saves by all the saves of the game. You can extract them (by executing the patch with Wine) in your game folder or in another. If you choose another folder, copy only the pa**.gam with the +1 number of yours (probably pa27.gam, because the game make saves automatically).
Normally, you can enjoy the end of the game !
