Additional Comments

1. Install this expansion over Napoleons' Ambition (make sure "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Paradox Interactive\Europa Universalis III" contains a string key "Napoleon" with value "2.0"). Do not try to install over vanilla EU3, it won't work. 2. Use native d3dx9_35.dll, d3dxof.dll, msvcp60.dll. 3. Use "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Direct3D\OffscreenRenderingMode = pbuffer". 4. Run "wine eu3game.exe" once. It will crash. Edit "settings.txt" and set EVERY string ended with "_volume" to "-1.000000" (not just "master_volume", but every sound-relevant string). 5. Run "wine eu3game.exe", enjoy. P.S.: 6. There are shaders mods to make borders look "good". Never bothered myself. 7. To cheat you'll probably need to switch your keyboard to international mode by altering xorg.conf. Use something like Option "XkbLayout" "us(intl),ru" Option "XkbOptions" "grp:ctrl_shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll,compose:rwin" for keyboard options, then open console by pressing Alt-Shift-'. There are other ways as well. 8. Tested on NVidia 8800GTS 512, proprietary driver version 173.14.05. ATi 8.5 users probably out of luck, was never able to even start the game on ATi laptop.
