What does not
Keyboard input is disabled after leaving a pop-up list, and sometimes after display of a modal dialog.
"Open URL" script step is unreliable; "Send DDE Execute", "Send Mail", and "Dial Phone" fail.

Lost keyboard input is restored after swapping to another application
and back. No known workaround to make it function properly.
"Send Message" -> 'open document/application' works and can be used
to run shell scripts (with arguments) to provide some of the same functionality as the broken script steps.
Functionality has been stable at least since wine 1.3 except for the "Open URL" script step.
