Graphic Workshop Professional

What works

All the core functionality of Graphic Workshop Professional 3 has been tested under Wine, and works correctly.

What does not

The only known problem with Graphic Workshop Professional 3 running under Wine is the zoom function in View mode, which does not display images correctly.

The functions which read and write Windows executables and screen savers deal with files that will only work under Windows, or on another Linux system running Wine.

Workarounds

What was not tested

The Paint function - which expects to find Windows Paint, and doesn't under Wine - wasn't tested.

The Windows wallpaper function isn't really applicable to Wine, and as such wasn't tested.

There's an extensive discussion running Alchemy Mindworks software under Wine at http://www.mindworkshop.com/alchemy/linux.html . Users will need to install msvcp60.dll prior to using Graphic Workshop - this DLL and instructions for installing it under Wine are available at the forgoing page.
