What works

Installation seems to work. When I attempt to start the program, I get the splash screen showing me that it's loading data, I get an error window that says:

 An error occurred when connecting to the selected data.
As a result, some of the expected data may be missing from the map view.
Check the error.log file in the application directory for detailed failure information.

Then the map window attempts to open. It's all jumbled and then it goes grey. You have to force quit.

Additional Comments

If anyone knows of a way to get this to work under Linux, I'd surely appreciate it. I would so love to dump Vista, but I need DeLorme for work.
