What works
-installation
-sound using ALSA
-gameplay in one of the two chapters
----------------------------------------------
This demo appears to differ slightly when played on Windows Vista. When played through Wine, here are the differences I noticed.
-Launching the game, a dialog box appears with multiple buttons. 'Play', 'Video options', and more.
-When starting the game, it prompts to create a profile.
-In the 'Main menu', there are now 'Bonuses', 'Minigames', and 'Cheats'. Under 'Main menu' -> 'Options', there is now 'Profiles'.
-Playing 'Eve Pursuit', I get a short desciption of the chapter. (In Windows Vista, there are also basic instructions on how to play)
What does not
-"Sandstorm Sprint" appears to be unplayable. (In Windows Vista, this chapter is playable)
-Many items in the menus, after being selected, will cause the screen to show "The Game Disc could not be read". Clicking may prompt a return to the menu, though not always. Playing fullscreen, when the screen appears to freeze on that error message, I exit the game with Ctrl-Alt-Delete -> Task Manager, then kill Wall-E.exe.
