Setup.exe opens properly if and only if IE6 is natively installed into the Wine environment (i.e. not using IEs4Linux, but using the instructions found here). Without it, the following happens:
1. Wine will attempt to install Gecko. However, unless you set your winecfg to allow your native window manager to see the window requesting download of the Gecko components (if you haven't already downloaded and installed them), you never will.
2. After installation of the Gecko components, Setup.exe errors out.
Once Setup.exe is launched under native IE6, PDFs will open if you install Acrobat Reader into the Wine environment; Reader 9 does work.
What does not
Boson Exam Environment - Requires .NET.
Cisco Binary Game - Requires Flash Player, which won't install in IE6 on my installation. That said, I haven't looked too far into getting Flash Player on to my IE6 installation, and, besides, it's accessible using a native browser on the CD since it's just an embedded Flash object on an HTML doc.
