What works

I tested the following functions and they seem to work ok

1)Quality check

2)Alpha report

3)Group Sheet

4)Reasonableness report

5)Graphic reports

6)Ancestor button

7)Downloaded the upgrade to version 6.2.79 and successfully upgraded from version 6.2.73

8)Compute Relationship report.The Print Box Chart button didn’t light up at first.The box will only light up if you enter your registration number.

What does not

The following functions did not work correctly

1)Register report.The register report worked for a short register, but when attempting the long one (474 pages) the program hung.Using top it was using 94-96% CPU.I tried 3 times, the first stopped at page 114 on the popup dialog box that says “Printing page xxx please wait”, second time 134, third time 113.According to top on two of the attempts it ran 91 minutes & 185 minutes.The same report takes 17 minutes under windows XP SP3.

a.Then I tried “Print Preview” twice and it stopped at page 87 both times. The preview finally shows but after page 87 it is all blank pages.

b.On the short register reports a message “Sort option 9 not available yet for this routine" pops up.This message doesn’t occur on Windows XP.

c.Creating an RTF file seems to work.

2)Editing screen –

a.When adding a child was unable to add a note or source, program locked up, menus still displayed but clicking on a menu item results in nothing.

b.Trying to add a location to an event using F8 to select an existing location causes the program to hang.

c.After entering a child’s name and depressing the Enter key the program locks up.

Native MSVBM60.DLL required to run.

copy msvbvm60.dll into the wine bk folder to get it to work.
