Game's installer, after first installing IE6
everything in game with third party patch
What does not
Installing without first installing IE6. Both the installer and launcher seem to use the browser control that's part of internet explorer.
Running the game without patched fate-wt.exe
What was not tested
To get around the blank installer you will need to install internet explorer 6 first. i used winetricks for this. the fonts are horrible but legible. after the install, attempting to run the game using Wild Tangents Game Console will throw an error about the Fate: Undiscovered Realms not being installed properly. Replacing Fate-wt with a patched exe will fix this and allow you to launch the game both directly and from the games console launcher. from there on everything seems to work flawlessly. i have yet to test but i would assume the same process would work for the first Fate using the installer that is freely available on Wild Tangents web site.
